Gijom' Armide learned Esperanto in 2005 at the age of 30. Three years later, he participated in his first Esperanto meetings. Fortunately, at both congresses there was a piano available for participants. Gijom' started playing and singing his songs in French, people gathered around him and begged for more. He often heard "Write songs in Esperanto!" Thus began his career. In 2009 he performed his first concert in the Esperanto community during the FESTO meeting in Germany. This was the beginning of a long series of concerts thanks to the notable support of Floréal Martorell (EUROKKA/Vinilkosmo), Irek Bobrzak (Varsovia Vento), the organizers of the IJF (Italian Esperanto Youth Festival), and others.

In 2011, Gijom' launched a crowdfunding campaign to record an album Nenifar'. The idea was to collect the money to make it, and then distribute it for free. Within a few months, he had collected enough money to pay for a week in a studio with a piano, near Toulouse (France). He recorded 16 titles. The album is available for free on various platforms, and the paper cover is available at Esperanto-France. Those who wish to have a CD, can burn it themselves, and can request a free cover. Grants are always welcome for upcoming projects.
After that album, Gijom' decided to use simpler means to publish his songs. He launched his Youtube channel and started making his own video recordings.

Many friendships are particularly important in Gijom's Esperanto-music career.
For example, he contributed to the song "Ĝimini la akrido" in collaboration with Platano (from La Pafklik), in the Hiphopa kompilo Vol. 2 appearing in 2011; and also contributed to the song "Karulo" (voice) and "Bembaŝa" (piano) in Espo-Despo's album Bosniumas, released in 2016.
There's also Tomio Frejarö, a swedish musician who's ideas where very much in line with Gijom's and who proved to be a mutual source of inspiration, and Melono Desnos, a pianist with whom Gijom' performed concerts in a much more jazzy style that extended outside his usual repertoire; Laurent Burgbacher, a Swiss musician and sound technician who co-created much of the Youtube stuff published by Gijom'; Rogener Pavinski, a musician and singer from the band Supernova, who has supported Gijom' since the beginning of the adventure, and created a metal version of one title written by Gijom' ("La postrompiĝa temp').
